Ca' De Riva Valpolicella Ripasso 2007. A mature tasting wine that seems it should be more costly; a dark beauty that shows off a robust bouquet & flavours of black cherry, spices, vanilla, dark chocolate & dried fruit. Additional nuances of smoke, leather & red fruit. Long lingering finish. I enjoyed it following a meal of organic burgers and salad. Great with the food, stellar as a sipping wine. A big affordable vino from Veneto.
